DREAMSTEALER
When her kingdom's former enemy suspects their princess is a budding dreamwalker, Lexa is drafted out of retirement and sent to Teltania under the worst guise she could imagine a Lady Diplomat. It would be a simple mission--confirm the twelve-year-old girl is a dreamwalker, and if so, train her.
But danger awaits her arrival, for many would seek to woo and control a young mind with such rare power. Lexa doesn't know who to trust--the steward who knows her true identity, the visiting Duke with an avid interest in the princess, or even her own country, whose motives for sending her to Teltania are less than savory. Lexa is used to meeting opposition with a sharp sword or a right hook, but now she'll have to navigate hidden agendas and outward threats while trying not to wrinkle her dress.
The waking world isn't the only place that presents peril. The dream realm is growing dangerous, and Lexa's powers are suddenly waning when she needs them most. How can she train and protect the young princess if she can no longer dreamwalk herself? Alone in a foreign country, Lexa must discover who the true enemy is, both waking and dreaming, before whoever it is comes to claim them both.

Dreamstealer Dreamwalker Angela Wallace 9781482671445 Books Reviews
If you love sappy romances involving overly sensitive women who need to be rescued by prince charming every other chapter, you will hate this book. On the other hand, if you love strong, snarky, sword-fighting women who can walk right into your dreams, this is the book for you. Lexa is a retired soldier in Artasia's special forces and known to a select few as a dreamwalker, someone with the rare ability to enter the dreamscape and manipulate the dreams of anyone she wishes.
Dreamstealer is the follow up to the first book, Dreamwalker, a short novella that left readers wanting more. Thankfully, Dreamstealer is more than twice the length of the first book and allows the reader to indulge in everything we loved in Dreamwalker magic, the dreamscape, sword fights, fist fights, romance, political intrigue, murder, mystery, and dry wit.
I fully enjoyed this book. The plot never stalls out and the story is constantly developing, often in subtle ways I didn't expect. The action scenes are abundant and tense. Though the odds are often stacked against the heroine and the action scenes get gritty, I always found myself having a fun time while reading them. There's also a little romance in this book and, though it's PG-rated, it's the most passionate that the author has written.
My only caution is that this is the second book in the series. Reading the first book, Dreamwalker, isn't mandatory, but it helps since Dreamstealer builds on a few important things that happened in the first book.
I've now read four of this author's novels and this is her most mature offering to date. Dreamstealer is a solid, enjoyable fantasy novel, highly recommended for lovers of fantasy with strong female heroines.
A fast, fun, riviting book to read with a heroine who is tough without appearing masculine. I hope Angela Wallace will write more books in this series.
