So Flynn digs deeper and finds that another young woman linked to the family is missing, then hits paydirt as some truly unpleasant people come scuttling out of the cracks to issue a clear warning back off; keep your nose out or pay the price.

It has been a vey long time since I enjoyed a first person narrative as much as this one. In some ways the narrative style is reminiscent of Len Deighton although with a different focus of course. the setting is well depicted and the characters are very well drawn. the story is extremely well laid out. recommended!Product details

I got this book free from BookBub and I was leery of getting it as it seems as though the free books aren't usually to my liking. This book was a surprise! I like the characters & the story line and I plan to look for more by this author.
Michael Donovan holds your interest from page one and continues throughout. Fast moving with a bit of a quirky side. Eddie Flynn's car becomes a fun part of the story. This is a well written detective story that keeps you guessing and involved. I'm ready to read book 2 and certainly hope there are more on the horizon.
